1971 Plymouth Duster 340, red - RC/ERtl

This one didn't get a whole lot of detailing, but we did add a few things RC/Ertl chose not to include with the model. You can see that I've added a vinyl top and a rear wing. The grill has been properly detailed with satin grey paint covering up the overly chromy look of the out-ot-the-box grill. The black top looks nice with the black-out hood treatment. This was patterned off a car the customer owned years ago which did not have the optional wheel opening moldings so we left those off. I had to removed those awful painted on moldings which resulted in a nice clean purposeful look.

The grill is nicely molded but on the real cars it is predominently satin grey. A little paint and it's looking much better.

Here's that wing we added. I thought the placement of the wing was a little too far forward at first, but through further research I found RC/Ertl placed it pretty accurately. It was pirated from another model, the red cars do not come with the wing. It works nicely with the black stripes, hood and top.

The roof of this car is very smooth allowing for a nice clean smooth application of the vinyl top. I love how the seams make the look. I've added accurate vinyl edge moldings per my research on the 1:1's.

Ready to rock and roll! Enjoy Leonard!
