Notice: Since I don't own any 1/1s that I detail, the colors were taken from various sources and file pictures and others are guesstimates. I'm sure I've missed a few details and as I get more info I'll change or add to the details.

My Bullit Mustang is based on the 67 Mustang made by ERTL. I stripped the paint using paint stripping jell. The body was primed, painted and clearcoated using Duplicolor.

Front view: The grill of the 67 was removed and replaced with a black nylon mesh. The windshield frame was chromed using chrome foil and the license plates were replaced with "Bullit". The front side marker light is a decal.

Rear side view: The rims are from the ERTL 70.5 BM Camaro. The tires are from the 67 with the white wall tampos removed. The rims were painted silver with the spokes painted black. The rear side marker light is a decal and all of the window frames were chrome foiled. Since the Bullit Mustang is a 68 the side air inlet louvers of the 67 were removed using a hobby drill with a grinding bit.

Interior view: The interior was painted gloss black with the instrument bezels and steering wheel column painted silver and parts of the dash painted brown. The console portion where the radio is located and the interior door panel trim were chrome foiled.

Engine view: The engine was replaced with a 427 from a cobra. The intake manifold, carb, aircleaner and headers are from the original engine. The engine was painted blue and exhaust headers silver. The battery was detailed as well as the radiator cap & hose and windshield washer container.

Bottom view: The following items were painted silver: oil pan, engine trans, exhaust system, drive axle and gas tank. The shocks were painted yellow. The muffler was removed and the exhaust tips were replaced with scratched built exhaust pipes with the inner diameter drilled out and painted for a realistic affect.
