1969 Nova SS -Mods & Detailing by Steve R.

Of course the owner took the carb off about 15 years ago in an aborted effort to get it running again. More than likely he has lost the carb or some major parts of it and has left the air cleaner carelessly on the radiator support thus preventing the hood from closing properly. Not that the latch works anyway. With the carb off who knows what can now find its way into the engine further lowering to possibility of saving it from time and weather. Notice the vine growing on the inner fender. This one's been sitting a while.

A great old car languishing in a field would not be complete without a few bullet holes. Also note the little muddy hand prints on the fender. This one has gone from being a force to be reckoned with on the street to being a piece of playground equipment. Pitiful.

Since the car wasn't really going to be on the street again anytime soon, the owner pulled a headlight. He was too cheap to just buy a new one. The irony is that he used the headlight on his sister's car.

Here is where the ridden hard part really begins to show. The door has been replaced and the replacement doesn't fit too well. The seat is shot but carefully repaired with duct tape. More mud stains and other debris acquired from being a jungle-gym is evident.

Since the back seat is really wasted, an old green blanket has been tossed on the cushion to keep the springs from poking anyone too hard. Of course, no one really uses the back seat any more... More duct tape repairs on visible.

All in all, an outstanding job by Steve! Thanks for sharing with us.
